Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a TBM Survey Manager to join our team for a railway tunnel infrastructure project in Krakow, Poland (on-site position).


Project: Large-Scale Railway Tunnel Works Executed with TBM


Estimated duration of the position: 2.5 – 3 years- In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.


Summary


The TBM Survey Manager will be responsible for all surveying activities related to TBM tunnel construction. The role includes geometric control, TBM alignment guidance, deformation monitoring, and structural surveying works. The selected professional will ensure accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and coordination with engineering and construction teams throughout the execution of the tunnel works.


Main Responsibilities


  • Establish and maintain the geodetic control network.
  • Manage TBM alignment and guidance operations.
  • Oversee deformation and convergence monitoring activities.
  • Supervise segment and structural surveying works.
  • Prepare and validate rail as-built documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate surveying teams (field and office).
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and client teams.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, tolerances, and project requirements.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday (shift schedule to be defined; rotating shifts may apply depending on project needs)


Requirements


  • 8–10 years of experience in surveying (minimum 5 years in TBM tunnel projects).
  • Proven experience in TBM tunnel construction projects.
  • Experience in railway or metro projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field.
  • Proficiency with Trimble, Leica, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
  • Advanced use of Total Station, Level, and GPS equipment.
  • Strong leadership and site coordination skills.
  • English level: C1 (Advanced).
