TBM Senior Electrical Plant Engineer (Cracovia)- Tunnel Construction Project

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a TBM Senior Electrical Plant Engineer to join our team for a Tunnel Infrastructure Project in Poland (on-site position).

-Project: Large-Scale Tunnel Construction with TBM

-Estimated duration of the position: +24 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Summary

The TBM Senior Electrical Plant Engineer will be responsible for providing senior-level electrical technical support for TBM and backup systems. The role focuses on ensuring high equipment availability, efficient maintenance planning, troubleshooting complex electrical and control failures, and continuously improving machine performance on site.

-Main Responsibilities

• Provide senior electrical technical support for TBM and backup systems.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of electrical systems.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose electrical and control system faults and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize machine performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support troubleshooting during TBM operations.
• Coordinate with mechanical and operations teams for integrated performance.
• Ensure proper implementation of maintenance procedures and standards.

-Working hours: Monday to Friday (shift-based schedule; rotational shifts may apply depending on project needs)

-Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Automation, or Industrial Engineering, or Technical Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or plant engineering for heavy machinery, industrial equipment, or electromechanical systems.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in TBM projects.
• Strong knowledge of TBM electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and automation.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
• Experience in fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.
• Experience working with EPB and/or Slurry TBMs.
• English level: C1 (Advanced).
• Availability to work on-site in Poland.
• EU work permit required.
