Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Project Scheduler - Planner to join our team for a major tunnel infrastructure project in Pittsburgh, USA (on-site position).


-Project: Major Tunnel & Underground Infrastructure Works


-Estimated duration of the position: 48 months -In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.


-Summary

The Project Scheduler - Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating the project schedule, supporting project controls, forecasting progress, and coordinating planning activities between construction teams, subcontractors, and project management. The role will play a key part in ensuring project milestones are achieved and that schedule performance is accurately monitored throughout the project lifecycle.


-Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Primavera P6 project schedules.
  • Update project progress and forecast upcoming activities.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of baseline schedules.
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules for construction teams.
  • Analyze delays, productivity trends, and schedule impacts.
  • Generate project reports, dashboards, and schedule metrics.
  • Coordinate schedule updates with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support project controls and reporting functions.
  • Monitor critical path activities and identify potential risks.
  • Assist in the development of mitigation and recovery plans when required.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 working hours plus a 1‑hour lunch break. Depending on project needs, it may later transition to rotational shifts.

Requirements

-Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Proven experience using Primavera P6.
  • Experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, tunnelling, or underground construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of project controls and schedule management.
  • Experience preparing baseline schedules, look-aheads, and progress reports.
  • Ability to analyze delays, productivity, and project performance indicators.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • English level: C1 (Advanced).
  • Local, Spanish, Mexican, or international profiles will be considered.
