Description

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Plant Manager to join our team for a tunnel infrastructure project in Poland - Krakow (on-site position).

  • Project: Large-Scale Tunnel Construction with TBM
  • Estimated duration of the position: +24 months
  • In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.


Summary

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall management of plant, machinery, equipment, workshops, and technical resources on site. The role ensures high equipment availability, efficient maintenance execution, cost control, and full compliance with HSE and quality standards.


Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall management of plant, machinery, and technical resources on site.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of equipment.
  • Plan and supervise maintenance activities (preventive and corrective).
  • Manage workshops and maintenance teams.
  • Control operational costs and monitor maintenance KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and quality standards.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams on site.
  • Optimize asset management and equipment performance.


Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Technical Diploma.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in plant, maintenance, or heavy equipment management.
  • Previous experience in construction, tunnelling, mining, civil works, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance, planning, and asset management.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong reporting, cost control, and KPI management skills.
  • English level: C1 (Advanced).
  • Availability to work on-site in Poland.
  • EU work permit required.
