Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Field and Office Surveyor to join our team for a Heavy Civil Construction Project in Norfolk, Virginia.


-Project: Heavy Civil Construction Project


-Estimated duration of the position: 1 year - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.


-Responsibilities:


  • Perform construction surveying activities in the field.
  • Support layout and verification of roadway and structural works.
  • Process field data and survey calculations.
  • Prepare survey deliverables and documentation.
  • Develop and update survey drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Generate stakeout files and coordinate models.
  • Review design drawings and survey control information.
  • Support quantity calculations and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering and survey teams.
  • Maintain project survey records and databases.



-Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am-6 pm (10 hours) (1 hour lunch). There is the possibility of working some Saturdays.

Requirements


-Requirements:


  • Proven experience in major infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center).
  • Proficiency with survey equipment (GNSS/GPS, Total station, Digital level and Machine Control Systems)
  • Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in confined underground environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and extended hours as required.
