Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for an Electrical Superintendent – TBM to join our team for a tunnel infrastructure project in Poland - Krakow (on-site position).

- In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
Summary
The Electrical Superintendent – TBM will be responsible for supervising all electrical activities related to TBM operations and tunnel electrical systems. The role ensures high equipment availability, proper maintenance execution, compliance with safety standards, and coordination of electrical teams in a high-risk underground environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical teams and foremen working on TBM and tunnel electrical systems.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of all TBM electrical systems.
- Manage temporary power networks, substations, lighting, ventilation power, and tunnel services.
- Oversee electrical maintenance and repair of TBM and supporting plant and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system faults, coordinating rapid response to maintain production targets.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and project requirements.
- Maintain electrical inspection records, test certificates, commissioning documentation, and maintenance logs.
- Coordinate closely with site teams to align electrical works with tunnelling operations.
- Provide regular reporting on electrical performance, risks, incidents, and maintenance activities to project leadership.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or Electrical trade qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising electrical works in heavy civil or tunnelling projects.
- Experience supporting TBM tunnelling operations (desirable).
- Knowledge of LV and HV power distribution, drives, PLCs, and tunnel electrical systems.
- Proven ability to lead electrical teams in high-risk environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety management and high-energy systems.
- Demonstrated construction site safety competence.
- English level: C1 (Advanced).
- Availability to work on-site in Poland.
- EU work permit required.
- Knowledge of Polish is a plus.
